Today We were fishing Anttola area. We caught one very nice, about 3kg trout and couple nice size pike. Customers want to stop fishing after 1,5 hour, because enuff fish was coming up. Rest of evening We just boating and enjoy beautiful lake Saimaa scenery.

Today We were fishing pike again. In this short 3 hour trip We caught 5 pike. First We get triple header and caught 1,5kg + 2,5kg +3kg pike. Soon after that We get double header and caught 4kg + 5,3 kg pike. Nice fishing, with good company.

Last 5 trip in Pike-perch waters 118 pike-perch was caught and a lot of pikes. Midsummer evening We make short salmon fishing trip and caught two trout and one 70cm salmon. Salmon season was getting better all the time.

Yesterday I been fishing with Russian spearfishing group. They dive few hours, but last days hard wind was make water very dirty and divers needs visual depht was badly. After diving We trolling couple hours and caught 3 nice size pike and loose couple.

Today was very windy day and We trolling 5-6 hours with Russian media group. We caught 7 pike. Size of the fish was between 1,5-3,5kg Main thing was that really BIG one whitch we loose just behind the boat. I think it makes some nightmare that fisherman;-) We see that monster few times and estimated size was over 10kg

A fantastic fishing season is ending this week because the cold weather has come and ice has started to form on the lake. I would really like to thank all my customers and baitfishing training school students for making it a memorable season. My new Beneteau Antares 750 has been great and since I got it in June the engine has done 500 hours. I am really glad I chose that boat and recommend it to others as it is really awesome!

We have been trolling for a couple of days in the Ristiina area with customers. Our result was a salmon 74 cm, two trout around 60cm and many pike. All the fish took small size VK-baitholders and the best color was 725s

Yesterday we were fishing in Ristiina waters with customers. We caught one salmon over 60 cm that weighed around 2kg and huge pike that weighed around 7kg. We also had a lot of strikes and we released several undersize fish. The customers want to send the pike to a taxidermy company and make it lifelong memory.

I have fished two days with a nice Spanish family. The first day we were spinnfishing for pike near Anttola and we caught some. Yesterday evening we were fishing for pikeperch in Ristiina waters The result was five fish. The biggest fish weighed 4.7kg and was released again. The other fish weights were 2.85kg, 2.9kg, and the smallest two were 1-1.5 kg. On Saturday evening we were fishing Puumala waters but the result was only three small pikeperch and some pikes.

Last Wednesday evening my friend, his family and I were were fishing for pike-perch in Lake Saimaa waters near Ristiina. We caught seven pikes between 1-3 kg before the pike-perch start to strike. Our result was 7 pike-perch of which four we released. The total weight of the 4 biggest was 19.15 kg!!

First fish was very nice 3,3 kg

Next came a brutal double header and we had a long fight before these two giant pike-perch surrendered.

Two new PBs after this double header, for me 7.1 kg for my friend 5.45 kg. Unforgettable fishing!

We decided to release bigger one after quick weighting and couple pictures, because We already have cooking fish on the boat and this kind monster was very important for this fish species in the future. We gave to fish recover in water for a while and Our feeling was avesome when it went very strongly kicking back in the deep. Smaller of double header was badly hurt and blood coming out on it gills, only that reason We must make decision to keep it.

Pike Perch season was started

Yesterday evening We tried fishing for pike-perch in home waters. The pike-perch were not very active yet, because the water temperature is still a little cold. We did however catch three pike-perch around 1,5kg and about 15 pike where the biggest was about 4kg. We also had a lot of strikes. Pike-perch season has just started. It is about two or three weeks before it’s at its best. Book your exciting night fishing trip now.

Lake Saimaa Pike Fishing May 2010

We were fishing for pike yesterday with customers in Ristiina waters. The fish were biting like a crazy and we caught 25 pike, The biggest was over 5 kg and the second biggest was over 4 kg.

We also had a lot of strikes and action the whole day. We had contact with about 60 pike and many fish followed the lures and struck just when you raised the lure in the water. Those were very exciting moments. Here are a couple of pictures of happy customers who both have new PBs from yesterday.

Last night we were pike-perch fishing again with some customers. We caught 9 fish and took 2 home with us weighing 2.15kg and 1.45kg. We also released a pike around 5kg. A week ago we also caught 9 pike-perch, then we took home a 2.7, 2.6 and 1.5kg and released 2 fish over 2 kg and 4 small ones. The Karikko 13cm wobbler and the VK-Raksi in the steenson color with soft steel wire and perch as bait worked well.

Last night we were trolling for pike-perch again. We caught 6 of them and the weights were 2 x 1.5kg (C&R) 2.0kg, 2.5kg, 3.7kg & 4.4kg all the fish once again took the 13cm Karikko wobbler. We also returned 4 pike and biggest weight was about 5kg.

Last night we were trolling for pike-perch. We caught 4 and the weights were 5.7, 5.55, 3.2 & 2.3kg all the fish took the Karikko 13cm wobbler, which is the best pike and pike-perch wobbler I know of. The biggest was a new PB.

I was spinnfishing yesterday evening for pike with some customers. We caught 17 pike in 3 hours and lost some good fish also. The size was normal and the biggest weighed a few kilos. We release all but 2 of them. The customers was very happy.
